A woman who worked on the set of Gilmore Girls has now answered the question every fan was left asking after that shock pregnancy cliffhanger.

As viewers will no doubt recall, the final episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life wrapped up with Rory (Alexis Bledel) telling mum Lorelai (Lauren Graham) that she was pregnant, with three simple words - 'mom, I'm pregnant'.

The scene ended with Lorelai shooting her daughter a look of complete surprise, but the famously talkative character didn't get a chance to respond before the credits rolled. Equally stunned fans were of course keen to know more and were desperate to know who exactly the father was.

For six long years, however, we've been left on tenterhooks, left to speculate and debate - until now.
