Flavius Josephus[a] (;[9]Ancient Greek: Ἰώσηπος, Iṓsēpos; c.&#;AD 37&#;– c.&#;) or Yosef ben Mattityahu (Hebrew: יוֹסֵף בֵּן מַתִּתְיָהוּ) was a Roman–Jewish historian and military leader.
