Flavius Josephus[a] (;[9]Ancient Greek: Ἰώσηπος, Iṓsēpos; c.AD 37– c.) or Yosef ben Mattityahu (Hebrew: יוֹסֵף בֵּן מַתִּתְיָהוּ) was a Roman–Jewish historian and military leader.
